From 40 Countries to One Local Manual

I’m David. Over the last 15 years, I’ve navigated international borders in over 40 countries. From round-the-world solo treks to deep-dives into global cultures, I thought I’d seen it all—until I looked closer at my own backyard.

Despite being one of the most exciting destinations on earth, Korea remains one of the most logically confusing places for travelers to navigate. Whether it’s a mapping app that doesn’t work like Google or the unspoken social “codes” of a BBQ house, the gap between a tourism brochure and reality is wide.

Why a “Manual”?

In my day job, I work in data analysis. That professional background has trained my brain to look for patterns, solve “bugs” in systems, and find the most efficient path forward. I realized that what travelers in Korea really need isn’t more “inspiration”—it’s a practical Manual.

I created David’s Seoul Manual to bridge the gap between “perfect” tourism and local reality. I’m here to provide the local data, technical hacks, and traveler’s perspective you won’t find anywhere else.

My “Unfiltered” Promise

Whether you’re hunting for solo-friendly dining, dodging tourist traps, or trying to find a trash can on a Seoul street corner, I provide:
